The Studio is based on the original 15P, but it includes a number of additions. The Studio comes standard with our own "transformerless" tube-driven reverb circuit, which is a great sounding and quiet version of this classic effect. This amp is also the first de Lisle model to feature a tube buffered FX loop. Both the send and return jacks have corresponding level controls. We wanted this amp to be extremely versatile, so there is a lot of user control over the voicing and gain structure of the amp. We added a Contour control to our standard Treble / Bass arrangement, which allows the player to shift the mid turnover frequency from Fullerton, California to Dartford, England. The Presence circuit is switched to allow for both the tighter response of negative feedback or the looser, grittier feel of an open-loop design. Signal levels in the preamp are controlled by 12AX7 and EF86 gain knobs. We also added a pentode-triode switch for the EF86 and a tonestack bypass "Boost." The 15P Stuido is capable of pristine cleans or classic higher gain British tone with the overall output level set by the post-phase inverter master volume. The rear panel features both a balanced (XLR) transformer-isolated output and an unbalanced (1/4") output with a common level control. Either output can be used with or without a speaker load. And the speaker can be safely unplugged for late night practicing through the headphone jack, which also doubles as an attenuated output (~1/8W) when a speaker is connected to it.

• Configuration
Most amps are available as a head (amp and shell only), 1×12 combo, 2×12 combo or 2×10 combo.

• Tolex Color
The color of the main cabinet. We have quite a few options. If your desired color isn’t listed, let us know. We’ll see about getting it for you.

• Grill Cloth
Only applicable to combos. This material covers the speaker.

• Speaker
We offer a variety of Eminence, Celestion and Jensen speakers. If you need a recommendation, just let us know! If you’re ordering a head, you don’t need to select anything here.

Second Speaker
If you’re getting a 2×10 or 2×12, select this option. Feel free to mix or match speakers.

• Output Tube
Certain amps can be built with one of a few output tubes. If you’d rather have an amp with a 6V6 over an EL84, you have the option.

• Adjustable Boost with Footswitch
Replaces the boost switch (if equipped) with a potentiometer allowing for variable boost. The boost can also be activated remotely by the included footswitch.

• Aged Speaker Cone
We chemically age the speaker cone in addition to a physical break-in.

• DC Heater Supply
The tube heaters are run from DC instead of AC to help eliminate hum. (Our amps are already crazy quiet, so this one is here for completeness.)

• EF86 Pentode-Triode Switch
On models equipped with an EF86 preamp tube, this option allows the tube to operate in “triode” mode. This reduces the gain and changes the character of the EF86 – adding an alternate voice to the amp. The switch is included in the Expanded Control Panel option. Otherwise, it is installed on the bottom (combo) or back (head) of the chassis.

• External Speaker Out
Adds an additional speaker jack in order to drive an external cabinet. The internal speaker is disconnects when in use.

• Headphone Out
Plug in your phones and mute the speaker for quite practicing. A load is switched in to protect the amp.

• Tube Buffered FX Loop
High quality tube buffered loop with Send Level and Mix Return Level controls.

• Tube Rectifier
For big bottle power tubes, we generally use a GZ34. EL84/6973 amps employ an EZ81. We’re happy to use other types as well.

• Tube Reverb
An updated version of the classic effect. Our circuit was redesigned to complement modern 17″ spring reverb tanks.

• Tube Tremolo
Our Tremolo is the bias modulation variety. It modulates one of the preamp tubes, so there is no stress on the power amp or power supply. Smooth, slow and swampy to moderate speed – not a helicopter effect. Includes Speed and Depth controls.

• Unbalanced Line Out with Level Control
This option adds a 1/4″ line out from the speaker tap with a level control.

• VarioDyne Power Output
Linearly adjustable power output with compensated AC signal levels from one knob… The VarioDyne is our take on power reduction through voltage control. Unlike similar methods that only manipulate DC voltages, the VarioDyne also controls the AC signal voltages coming into the reduced power stages. Our approach eliminates the need for an additional Master / Drive pot by reducing the input signal to suit the new DC operating point. We do this without reducing the preamp DC voltages to maintain a smooth overdrive. The VarioDyne is great for matching stage volume to a specific venue, dropping the output for the studio or even playing at home. Want to overdrive the power amp without alienating friends and neighbors? Just turn down Volume 2 knob to adjust the power output while maintaining the amp’s character and tone. Simple and effective.

• XLR Out with Level Control
Adds a transformer isolated XLR and level control off the speaker tap.
